The Programme Associate will play a critical role in coordinating and facilitating various programme management activities under the guidance of senior programme staff. The work of the Programme Associate will be guided by UNHCR Manual, Operations Plans, and UN and UNHCR financial/budgetary rules and regulations. Proficiency in English (B2) is a desired quality for the ideal candidate, and knowledge of other UN languages is considered a plus.

The Programme Associate will be responsible for providing support in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of programme activities. It is essential for the candidate to stay informed about the challenges posed by the operational context, UN and humanitarian reform, and institutional developments to enhance the effectiveness of the programmes. Building and maintaining contacts within the organization, duty station, and external partners and stakeholders will be crucial for information collection, program monitoring, and fulfilling administrative requirements. The Programme Associate will collaborate with peers at the country level, ensuring smooth information flow and adopting the multi-functional team (MFT) approach during all phases of the Program Management Cycle. Candidates with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2-3 years of experience in program support or related areas, along with strong communication, analytical, and adaptability skills, are encouraged to apply. Essential
Demonstrated experience in programme management, Operation Management Cycle and related processes. Knowledge of Results Based-Management. Computer skills (in MS office) including advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data management, etc.)

Desirable
Completion of UNHCR Learning Programmes or specific training relevant to function of the position including Programme Management ¿ Level 1. E-tutoring of PM1, Framework for Implementing with Partners Learning Programme. Experience in programme management training and capacity building activities.
